Wild Whisper Sensations One Sheet Wonder Cards

Hi there!  I'm up on the Wild Whisper blog today sharing a One Sheet Wonder template that I found on Pinterest.  Thank you Julia Davison for sharing this template!  I think it will be perfect for any cards you are making for National Scrapbooking Day this weekend!  For a clearer template, go here.
So far I have created two cards using the pieces I cut with this template.  (You will get a total of 11 cards with it.)  I used Pam Bray's beautiful Sensations paper collection for my cards.  Here's a sneak peek. To see the rest, go to the blog post here.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

MTW Mini Challenge - Do All Things With Love

It's time for a new challenge at More Than Words!

Our April Mini Challenge has now been posted and as usual there
are some awesome prizes up for grabs from

This month we are asking you to use the word ALL somewhere on your project.

The Mini Challenge runs on the last two weeks of each month and is for:
cards, tags, ATCs and postcards only.

This challenge requires you to use a specific word on your project.
We must see the actual word

*ATCs. or Artist Trading Cards, are small works of art,
about 2.5 by 3.5 inches or 64 x 89 mm.

This month we are asking you to use the word ALL somewhere on your project.

You have two weeks - until the last day of the month - to enter, so be quick!

Post your entries on our Facebook page here.

My favorite things to tend in my home are my houseplants!  For this card, I used Kaisercraft's beautiful Greenhouse 6"x6" paper as a base and to cut my die cuts from.  The green lacey flowers were cut using Tim Holtz's Bouquet die below.

I just snipped a couple of flowers out of the die cut and tucked them under the doily at the top and the bottom.
The doily die is a favorite of mine from Close to my Heart.

I cut the beautiful succulent flowers from one of the floral papers in the pack and stacked them with foam pop ups between each layer.

The quirky little bunny is from Tim Holtz of course!  The die set is called Bunny Hop.  I gave him some sparkly eyes with tiny little embellishments from Close to my Heart called Bitty Sparkles.

I put the bunny's two little dancing partners on the inside!

I hope I've inspired you to give the challenge a go this month.  To see lots of inspiration projects from the rest of the design team, go here.

Happy Creating!

Easter Cards

Hi everyone,

Easter's over, but I thought I would share my cards that I made for my grandchildren this year.

All the cards were coloured with Copic markers and used Lili of the Valley digi stamps.  The paper used was Kaisercraft's Greenhouse collection.

Spring Bunny and Eggs For this one I used Penny Black's Antique Frame dies to mat the image.

Easter Chick For this one I matted it with Gina Marie's Lacey Lattice Oval.

Easter Tricks - This is matted with another Gina Marie die set called Geometric Oval Frame.

It was a very relaxing morning, colouring these cute images and playing with bright spring colours!!!

Happy creating!

MTW Challenge - EVERYDAY & BUGS AND BIRDS

"Sometimes life tells you to tilt your head, sideways squint, peer through a new perspective."
- Angie Weiland-Crosby

We hope that this month's challenge at More Than Words will help you look at the difficult circumstances the world finds itself in a little differently, and gain some well-deserved peace!

The word inspiration is EVERYDAY, and the creative inspiration is BUGS and/or BIRDS.  I have always found the natural world to be very soothing and peaceful, so I really enjoyed this challenge.

I found a wooden plank down in my craft supplies and decided to make a home decor piece.  After painting it with clear gesso, I stenciled it with texture paste using Studio Katia grid stencil.  I glued on some lace bits for texture and sprayed it with misc sprays that I had on hand.

Next I took a Tim Holtz Cathedral Window and embossed it with Pam Bray's Butterscotch Rock Candy embossing powder.  This embossing powder is really luscious and has pieces of rock in it.  To be able to emboss it to the material the cathedral window is made of, I covered the window in 3in1 Beacon's adhesive,  and put it in a 200 degree oven for 15 minutes.  This held onto the powder so it didn't blow away, and I was then able to use my heating tool to melt the embossing powder as usual.  I really love the effect it gave to the window.

To embellish the plank, I added Graphic 45 flowers, overtop of a piece of Dusty Attic Chipboard.  I embellished the flowers with some Tim Holtz transparent wings and the butterfly is from one of his ephemera packs.

I hope you'll give the challenge a try.  We always give you some hints on how to start thinking about your projects:

We do many things in our EVERYDAY lives that we barely think about. It’s time to get those memories recorded in your art! What is something you do in your everyday life that you would love to look back on and remember later? Or is there something special you do every day that you’ve never thought to create about. Here is your chance! We need to see in your project how our word inspired you. If it isn’t obvious in your work, then please explain it in your post.
The creative challenge is easy – just add some BUGS and/or BIRDS to your project. You can add just one or as many as you like.

The following companies are all contributing prizes this month:  Kora Projects, Lindy's, Mintay, Scrapmatts, Thompson's Craft Supplies, 2 Crafty, and 49 and Market.

You can check out the challenge here and see all the other fabulous inspiration the Design Team has created.

Happy Creating!
