Wild Whisper - Happy Tails Mini Album

Hi everyone,  Today I'm sharing a cute little project over on the Wild Whisper blog using the Happy Tails collection.

Starting from the age of 4, I have been blessed over my lifetime to have shared and continue to share, my life with many different pet dogs.  They have all been special and each one has taught me new lessons. 

This paper collection is so cute, that I decided to make a mini-album containing my favorite photos of each dog.  Not all are mine, but I have loved the dogs my parents had, and also my daughter's current dog, so I have included them in this album as well. 

*Note... I have chosen to focus on the dog themes in this collection, but for all you cat lovers there are many pieces and papers that you could use for your favorite cat friends as well.

I was inspired to make this album, by one that was done by Paige Taylor Evans.  You can see hers here.  I have shared all the cutting instructions for mine, over on the Wild Whisper blog, so if you would like to make one of your own, you can check out the details there.

Some of the pages I have left blank to fill in with photos later.

So there you go... I've managed to fit 6 decades of family dogs into this little album!  It is great fun to browse through it and remember all the good times.

MTW May Mini Challenge - LOL

Hi everyone,

Welcome to a new challenge at More Than Words!

This month we figure we could all use a little laughter in our lives, so we're asking you to use the word LOL on your mini project.

The Mini Challenge runs on the last two weeks of each month and is for:

 cards, tags, ATCs and postcards only.  

This challenge requires you to use a specific word on your project. 

We must see the actual word. 

*ATCs. or Artist Trading Cards, are small works of art,

about 2.5 by 3.5 inches or 64 x 89 mm.

You have two weeks - until the last day of the month - to enter, so be quick!

Slim cards are very popular right now, so I decided to make a Slim tag!  This tag is 12 inches tall and 3 inches wide.

I used Pam Bray's Sensations paper collection from Wild Whisper and did a bit of fussy cutting which is something I really enjoy.  If the flowers, etc don't fit your project, you can cut them apart and reglue them in a configuration which does fit.  I did this in three different places.  See if you can figure out where! 

To make the "LOL", I die cut it from 100# white cardstock, and also from foam, to give some depth. Then I embossed it with Pam Bray's Rock Candy - Spearmint embosssing powder.   I totally love the colour of this embossing powder!  

So grab some bits and pieces that are sitting on your craft desk and make something for the challenge!
